Islay Taylor (she/her) lives and works in Providence, Rhode Island. She received her MFA in Jewelry and Metalsmithing from the Rhode Island School of Design, and her BFA in Sculpture and Printmaking from Alfred University. Her creative career is articulated through her studio practice, her curatorial work, and her desire to provide opportunities for her fellow working artists.
Islay’s professional career has been shaped by personal convictions and a mindset of abundance. She has over 15 years of professional non-profit arts experience; and a successful history of creating needs-based programming that is reflexive to artists, with a specific focus on incubating sustainable practices.
