Yoga is more than movement. It is a practice of self-inquiry, a gentle unraveling of the mind’s limitations, and a return to what is already whole within us.

Islay Taylor (she/her) teaches from a place of reverence and curiosity. Rooted in embodiment and mindfulness, her offerings invite students to meet themselves just as they are — with compassion, honesty, and care.

Each class is a shared space for personal practice. Grounded in functional movement, philosophical reflection, and inclusive language, Islay guides students in exploring their inner landscape while honoring the uniqueness of every body.

Yoga, to her, is not performance. It is presence. It is a path inward, one that can lead us toward collective healing and liberation.

Islay has completed over 1,000 hours of formal study, earning her 200-hour certification in 2017 and 300-hour in 2022. She is a registered E-RYT 200 / RYT 500 / YACEP provider. Her work is continually shaped by ongoing education, study of yogic texts, time in community (sangha), and her personal practice.
